Award-winning musician, comedian, actor and composer Tim Minchin is BACK, performing at The Star Gold Coast on May 3 and 4 and QPAC, Brisbane from Apr 9-12.

BACK, the long-awaited follow up to Minchin’s smash-hit show Tim Minchin vs the Orchestra (2012), is his first Australian tour since returning down under after living overseas for more than a decade.

This musical comedy cabaret, also billed as “Old Songs, New Songs, F*** You Songs”, will cover material from all corners of Minchin’s eclectic repertoire.  

British-born, Perth-raised Minchin is internationally renowned for writing the music and lyrics for Matilda the Musical, which has become one of the most acclaimed musicals of the last 20 years, winning a record 7 Olivier Awards, 13 Helpmann Awards and 5 Tony Awards. It continues to run on London's West End stage.

Minchin also wrote the music and lyrics for the musical adaption of Groundhog Day, which debuted on Broadway in April 2017 and won the Olivier Award for Best Musical the same year.
