Cakes & Shit, Brisbane's sassiest artisan bakery, can be found in a basement down a Paddington stairway, behind a cute candy pink entrance.

Having outgrown their first home in Bakery Lane, Fortitude Valley, where they established a legendary following, Cakes & Shit are now peddling their not-for-the-faint-hearted-or-easily-offended cakes from their grand new premise.  

Look for the hot pink tables and chairs on the footpath of Given Terrace and follow the staircase down to a fantasy bakery world unlike anything else to be found in Brisbane.

Take a seat in the funky colour-splattered interior and sample the delicious cakes and sweet stuff like plates of brownies or creme caramel, or pick up some to take home. 

Everything is freshly baked on site, from the cupcakes, biscuits, sweet slices and desserts, to the special occasion cakes on order.

From upside-down cakes to cheesecakes, and brownies – Cakes & Shit does it all. As for those special occasion cakes, they can cater for anything, from baby showers to divorce, 21st birthdays to weddings, with a cake that is guaranteed to have everyone talking.

And that's not all - they also do a range of cheeky gifts and merchandise, from T-shirts to misfortune cookies and bags of dicks.
