TSO LOUNGE HAS CLOSED AND HAS REOPENED AS UH-OH SPAGHETTI-O

TSO Lounge & Dining is a splendid prohibition-style bar/bistro in Fortitude Valley’s oldest building, a heritage-listed 1860's apothecary at the entrance to Bakery Lane.

The magnificent two-storey venue has been stunningly refurbished to showcase the history of the building, from the exposed hand-made bricks to the casement windows, lace iron balconies and, upstairs, a Victorian fireplace.

Downstairs TSO Lounge & Dining has a bar on the Ann St side, an open plan kitchen and, out back, the bistro with its cosy high-ceilinged dining room and laneway courtyard strung with magic coloured lights.

Upstairs is a charming lounge bar which resembles a 1920’s parlour, with Chesterfield arm chairs, polished floors, fireplace, ceiling roses, Turkish rugs, art deco lights and a stunning bar made from a vintage apothecary cabinet.

Here you can take a seat in one of the comfy arm chairs and listen to jazz music* while enjoying a cocktail or two, pull up a stool one of the original verandahs and watch the Valley street life go by (or the Bakery Lane action to the rear) or play a game of pool.

Not just one of the Valley’s best places to enjoy a civilized drink, TSO Lounge & Dining’s little bistro offers what would have to be the best value lunch and dinner in this part of town.

A concise menu of meals range in price from just $16 to $26 (the steak) otherwise there’s a delicious eclectic bar menu to enjoy, with retro morsels like Devilled Eggs making an appearance alongside fresh shucked oysters.

*TSO Lounge & Dining plays jazz until around 10pm after which the volume gets cranked up as the party music starts.
