Mr Claude

Brisbane Cbd

Mr Claude is the charming little coffee nook sibling of cool bar and eatery Corbett and Claude, who together whom occupy the basement of the heritage-listed Corbett Chambers building in Brisbane’s CBD.

Entry to Mr Claude is down the adjacent laneway and it is a hidden gem well worth seeking out. As well as its hidden location, what makes Mr Claude a stand out in a virtual haystack of choices in the central CBD, aside from the superb coffee, is the attention to little things.

Everything here is carefully sourced – Barambah organics milk, croissants and bread from Crust and Co, cold-pressed juices, gluten-free donuts from Nodo Donuts and delicious gourmet sandwiches with fillings such as  wagyu beef, organic chicken and premise-made pesto.

Meanwhile for breakfast, as well as croissants there’s avo or raisin toast and bowls of house muesli (with gluten free option). And must try here is the signature Mr Claude hot chocolate, made from flavoured hot chocolate sticks from New Farm Confectionary that are stirred into a cup of hot milk.
