BRUSNICA DELI AT TARRAGINDI HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Brusnica Deli is a little slice of the Balkans on Brisbane's southside, selling European imported foods predominantly from Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.

Nestled in a strip of shops in Tarragindi, just off the M1, this family-owned, pocket-sized deli recently relocated from Stones Corner.

The new location is smaller than before but still stocks a great range of Eastern European products. Metal shelves are lined with jars of dill pickles, pickled peppers, stuffed peppers, pindur (spicy relish) and ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce). Packets of paprika and polenta sit alongside popular Balkan snacks and sweets like Smoki and Plazma biscuits.

As far as cured meats go, Brusnica boasts one of Brisbane's largest selections of sausages and hams, salami, sudzuk, kulin, kransky, crackle, speck, pork hock, pork ribs and more.

Well-worth the detour off the M1, their traditional Balkan pastries - known as bureks - are made fresh daily and filled with cheese, beef and onion or cheese and spinach - which go down a treat with the well-brewed Balkan coffee on hand.
