Long Island Bar and Kitchen
Victoria Point
Long Island is a stunning Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bar overlooking Eprapah Creek in Victoria Point.
The boutique tapas and cocktail bar boasts vaulted ceilings with arches, olive trees and an all-white colour scheme, bringing a Mediterranean vibe to the Redlands. Patrons can enjoy signature tapas, stone baked pizzas and delectable cocktails in the stunning dining room, or al fresco on the terrace with water views.
Diners can start with a trio of house made dips served with pita bread, warm marinated olives, or maple glazed baked brie with homemade ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce) and crostinis.
The tapas menu includes an array of seafood dishes such as fresh oysters, seared sea scallops, chilli and garlic green king prawns and Moreton Bay bug sliders. Other tantalising tapas are Porcini mushroom arancini, miso-marinated flank steak, sweet baby peppers stuffed with feta, and black bao buns filled with sticky glazed pork belly or crispy chicken.
Alternatively, there are stone baked pizzas like Margherita, Diavola (prosciutto, salami and chilli) and capricciosa (ham, Kalamata olives and mushrooms).
If you can't decide, there are Grazing Boards (minimum 2 people) including The Bay Breeze piled with fresh seafood, The Backyard BBQ loaded with barbecued meats, and The Picnic antipasto platter - artisan cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruit, apple and quince paste, and crostini crackers.
And for dessert, there's Baileys Afroguardo (espresso shot served with vanilla whipped cream and candied pecans) and Deconstructed Lemon Meringue (shortbread crumble, toasted meringue smear and dollops of lemons curd).
Drinks wise, there's craft beer on tap, a carefully curated wine list, top-shelf spirits, and cocktails including classics like Long Island Ice Tea, Espresso Martini and Cosmopolitan, as well as signature libations such as Long Island Sunset (vodka, gin, cointreau, strawberry pulp and orange juice.)
Nice to know - Long Island is child-friendly with a dedicated menu for kids.
