BIG RODDY'S RIB SHACK HAS CLOSED ITS FORTITUDE VALLEY VENUE AS OF JANUARY 2023 BUT YOU CAN STILL FIND THEM IN FISH LANE SOUTH BRISBANE.

Big Roddy’s Rib Shack in Fortitude Valley is the place to get your hands dirty chowing down on succulent BBQ ribs and other delicious morsels.

Boasting an old-world feel complete with vintage leather booths, red velvet curtains, an old-style bar, and friendly personnel, the atmosphere is made complete with music from the likes of iconic 90’s RnB/soul artists.

A sibling store to their original establishment based in South Brisbane’s Fish Lane, Big Roddy’s provides comfort food at its best. Their namesake signature smoky ribs are a must try, as are their full rack of succulent baby back pork ribs with lashings of smoky barbeque sauce or their single bone of beef short ribs doused in their original barbeque sauce. Mouth-wateringly flavoursome, they also fall off the bone so effortlessly they bring a whole new meaning to “tender”, Amongst their other delicious offerings are buffalo wings, poutine and burgers.

Sides on offer compliment their ribs perfectly and are just as delicious. Included in our spread was their Buffalo cauliflower with their signature Buffalo and aioli sauces, sweet potato fries, and regular fries with their hot Rod salt and coleslaw.

Refreshments are a-plenty at Roddy's, with four tap beers, including Big Roddy’s Champion lager, Monteiths’ crushed apple cider and two Brewer of the Month selections. If beer isn’t your thing, they also offer plenty of wine, basic spirits and soft drinks and there's a killer cocktail list on its way.*
