Ant & Ola Cafe

Everton Park

ANT & OLA HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY LITTLE CLOVER BAKERY CAFE.

Ant & Ola is a northside coffee nook offering locally-roasted coffee and all day breakfast fare with a South African flavour.

Perched on the corner of South Pine Road and Griffith Street, the owners Anthony and Olympia have created a homely cafe with a comfy couch, plenty of plants, macrame art and paintings on the wall - where customers can settle in for a well-brewed cup of Elixir coffee and delicious brunch fare.

Fans of South African fare can tuck into Bobotie Brekkie (savoury curried mince baked in egg base, served with poached eggs, hllandaise and house-baked sprouted wheat sourdough), Vet Koek (traditional South African savoury doughnut filled with tasty pork mince, chutney and slaw), or Chakalaka Eggs - two poached eggs served on homemade chakalaka (spicy tomato bean relish) with boerewors sausage (optional).

Alternatively, there's popular breakfast dishes like eggs bennie, bacon and eggs, and smashed avo on sourdough with feta, baby peas, crispy kale and dukkha; while lunch-type offerings include the Braai chicken burger (chargrilled, marinated chicken thighs) and Biltong steak sandwich (Bilton-spiced rib eye topped with crispy bacon, cheese and coleslaw).

Ant & Ola is kid-friendly offering pancakes with fresh fruit and vanilla ice-cream, or waffles drizzled with Nutella, served with ice-cream and sprinkled with M&Ms.

Besides coffee, there are Origin teas, dirty chai, hot chocolate, iced drinks, frappes, smoothies and milkshakes.
