Blak Feeds - Fiona Foley
Brisbane Square Library
Blak Feeds offers a unique chance to join Indigenous Art Program curators and Badtjala artist, curator, writer and academic Fiona Foley, for an artist talk with a difference on July 23, 2021.
The artist's work encompasses painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed-media work, found objects and installation, examining and dismantling historical stereotypes while exploring a broad range of themes relating to politics, culture, ownership, language and identity.
During this free event you'll get to view an Instagram feed of images, share food and conversations about Fiona's artworks, with the chance to ask questions and learn more about her practice.
Good to know - The talk is part of the fascinating Indigenous Art Program: HYPERLOCAL, which is running in Brisbane until July 31, 2021, and curated by Blaklash Creative.
Need to know - While the event is free to attend, numbers are limited and bookings are essential.
