That Little Tea House
Clayfield
THAT LITTLE TEAHOUSE HAS CLOSED AS OF JUNE 2022 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
That Little Tea House is a hidden gem, found secreted away on the second floor of 1930's brick building in Clayfield.
Formerly located at Northgate, the tea house has found a new home in the historic two-storey building which features a chandelier, polished floor boards and plenty of old-world charm.
Step back in time at That Little Tea House with individual tea rooms furnished with gorgeous antiques, where patrons can sip tea and enjoy scones with jam and cream with friends or family in private.
Also operating as That Antique Shop, everything you see here is for sale, from the beautifully, refinished tables and chairs, and upholstered lounges, to the gold framed paintings and antique tea cups (some dating back to the 1880s).
Upon arrival patrons are asked to choose a vintage tea cup to use, blend of tea to drink and sweet treat to savour. Blended by hand, the huge range of loose leaf teas includes Breakfast teas (English, Scottish and Irish), Orange Pekoe, Peppermint, Chamomile, and fruit-infused teas such as Spiced Apple, Blueberry, Dragon Berry and Lemon Zest.
While the selection of sweets on offer changes often, the concise menu features 4 cakes or slices, like wild berry cheesecake, mini pecan pie, a brookie (part brownie, part cookie), and a gluten-free, vegan option such as raspberry chocolate brownie.
An added touch of charm is that the tea and treats are served on a vintage tea trolley.
Nice to know - That Little Tea House also serves decadent High Teas (bookings essential) and plans to host special events such as tea leaf readings, sip n' paint evenings and more.
Need to know - On street parking is available on Riverton Street.
