MICA is a chic artisan patisserie, bakery and cafe overlooking the water at Newstead in the Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct.

Located on the promenade, a short stroll from Newstead Park, MICA is now open for dine-in breakfast offering delicious dishes along with boozy breakfast cocktails like seasonal Bellinis and Bloody Marys. Patrons can also sip on expertly brewed coffee, cocoa, tea, fresh pressed juices.

Shared plates consist of homemade crumpets with Ceylon cinnamon whipped butter and spiced apple compote, thick slices of brioche pan-fried and rolled in anise sugar with mandarin compote and fresh vanilla whipped cream, and Crumble - roasted pineapple with a hint of chilli topped with macadamia nut crumble, kaffir lime and coconut water sorbet.

MICA's European-style bakery offers a delectable selection of artisan breads, gourmet pies and flaky pastries - think almond croissants, apricot danishes, bear claws and Nutella cruffins - plus exquisite sweets such as chocolate eclairs, caramel choux and fruit tarts.    

Good to know - Located on the open promenade overlooking Breakfast Creek, MICA is the perfect spot to enjoy a freshly-baked treat and well-brewed coffee in the winter sun with adirondack chairs provided right on the water's edge. 

Need to know - There is ample parking via a car park off Durong Street.
