Wunderbar! After a two-year hiatus, The Only Oktoberfest Brisbane is back, for 6 massive festival days across 2 weekends on 7-9 & 14-16 Oktober 2022. 

Australia’s biggest and most authentic annual German festival will transform the iconic Brisbane Showgrounds into a mega festhaus celebrating all things German.

More than 35,000 culture-seeking enthusiasts will descend on the Brisbane Showgrounds, bringing together stein-raisers from across the country dressed in Dirndls and Lederhosen.

Named one of the top 10 Oktoberfest celebrations outside Germany, Oktoberfest Brisbane promises another jam-packed program including live performances from the brand new, home-grown Bavarian Oompah Band, plus all of your favourite German fare from giant pretzels and bratwursts, to schnitzels and pork knuckles, and of course, traditionally-brewed world-class bier.

Fridays and Saturdays have earned legendary status at Oktoberfest Brisbane, and this year they'll be bigger and better than ever, kicking off from 12pm on Fridays making it the perfect time to knock off work early and join in the festivities. Friday and Saturday sessions are your chance to join the biggest and best Bavarian party under one roof, experiencing the ultimate German culture (minus the jetlag).

The Dämmerschoppen {Sunday session} is an absolute Brisbane tradition, with tickets for only $25 (when purchased online) including unlimited free rides for all and more entertainment than you can poke a pretzel at. It's the perfect day for all ages with children 17 years and under enjoying free entry.

Oktoberfest Brisbane event highlights include the Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane and Bavarian Strongmen competitions, The Big German Quiz and Autoshow. Expect a huge line-up of traditional entertainment with Accordionist Vic treating you to familiar folk tunes, Heidi the Yodeller leading the crowd sing-a-longs, Alpenrosen Dance Group putting on traditional dance performances and finally, the Brisbane Liedertafel/Liederkranz Choir with their classical choral music.
