Government House
The gates of Government House will once again open to the public for a special Open Day on Saturday 4 June, 2022, from 11am - 3pm, as part of year-long commemorations of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Members of the public can tour parts of Government House, and enjoy the picturesque, heritage listed gardens of the Fernberg estate. This is a free event and no registration is required.
Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM, Governor of Queensland, will dedicate the Platinum Jubilee Fountain, in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Brisbane Jazz Club will be providing live music throughout the day and visitors can purchase food and beverages from vendors on-site or bring their own refreshments (no alcohol permitted). Picnics in the sprawling gardens are highly recommended!
Need to know - Parking is available on the streets surrounding the estate, off Fernberg Road, Paddington. Entry to the Government House estate is via Gate B on Fernberg Road. Pedestrian access only, there is no onsite parking. Staff can assist with drop-offs for people with a disability. No alcohol or pets allowed (certified assistance animals are permitted – proof of certification is required).

Entry to the Government House Estate is subject to all visitors following the protocols outlined on the Government House website.
