Primaveral
Mitchell Fine Art
As we move into spring, Mitchell Fine Art presents Primaveral, an eclectic exhibition of artworks that celebrates the resilience of Australian contemporary artists.
2020 has set a number of challenges that have altered the artistic community immeasurably. One thing that has not changed is that artists continue to create and find new meaning in their work.
Primaveral is defined as ‘of or taking place in early spring’', therefore it is only fitting that the change in season is the perfect time to discover what creations have evolved during these unprecedented times.
Now showing at Mitchell Fine Art until Saturday, October 3, Primaveral explores a range of genres, times, themes and forms by some of Australia's best contemporary artists including Bernard Ollis, Carlos Barrios, George Gittoes, Jeff Makin, Margaret Loy Pula, Annalisa Ferrais, Matthew Cheyne, Min-Woo Bang, Mirra Whale, Stewart MacFarlane, Idris Murphy and more.
An opening celebration will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 2pm. This is a free event, however, RSVPs are required. Unfortunately, due to the current border restrictions, not all artists will be able to attend the opening.
Nice to know - Mitchell Fine Art is a large venue and there is ample room to view exhibitions safely, and the gallery staff are practising safe social interaction.
