SARMIC ARTISAN PROVISIONS & CAFE HAS CLOSED AMD IS RELOCATING TO MORNINGSIDE.

Found off the beaten track, on the corner of Apollo Road and Hood Street, Sarmic is the brainchild of Chef Michael Hoare (former head chef at West End's Plenty) and his wife Sarah. Bright and airy inside, the décor is industrial chic with a great recycled, communal timber table, repurposed metal bucket light fixtures and a whimsical wall mural.

Open for breakfast and lunch six days a week, the small but impressive menu includes options such as herb smashed avocado on corn bread with lime and capsicum jam, Beef Brisket with creamed corn, fried egg, sambal, sour cream and turkish, and Hotcakes with strawberry meringue mess.

There's also a small menu for little gourmands including egg and bacon roll, avo or eggs on toast, hotcakes, fairy bread and cheese toasties.
