Spirits Of The Red Sand

Beenleigh Historical Village

Updated: Jan 02, 2024

SPIRITS OF THE RED SAND HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

An extraordinary experience unlike anything you've ever seen awaits with Spirits of the Red Sand – an interactive Aboriginal live theatre show and dinner experience that is absolutely world class.

The only one of its type in Australia, the two-and-a-half hour experience within Beenleigh Historical Village invites guests to be transported to the Australia of the 1800s to witness history come alive. Engaging all the senses, you’ll see a cast of direct descendants of a man called Jarrah and his brothers.

Spirits of the Red Sand

Set in the authentic 19th century Beenleigh Historical Village, complete with Aboriginal Gunyah dwellings, the dramatic and moving story of two cultures coming together to form a nation is completely immersive. The experience starts from the moment you hop on board the coach.

Spirits of the Red Sand

Crafted by accomplished master storyteller, Mike Tamaki, of Tamaki Maori Village, Spirits of the Red Sand represents a huge leap forward for Aboriginal tourism – a first for south-east Queensland and the country. As well as the show, you’ll be treated to a hearty Australian-style chargrilled buffet (dessert included), with the meal and transfers all included in the price. There’s a licensed bar as well.

Spirits of the Red Sand

With its location halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Spirits of the Red Sand is easily accessible with transfers from convenient pick-up points. Make sure you’re a part of this must-do ground-breaking experience, and of course it’s the ideal treat for any overseas or interstate visitors. Check out the glowing reviews on the website from impressed customers.
