Brisbane CBD

Updated: May 16, 2024

Anzac Square Memorial Galleries welcome visitors to experience the quiet solitude of Queensland’s state war memorial and gain a greater understanding of Australia’s military past.

Set amidst beautiful parklands in the heart of the city, Anzac Square is home to the magnificent Shrine of Remembrance and Eternal Flame, providing permanent recognition for those who have served our nation.

Beneath the shrine sits the revamped Memorial Galleries, featuring a free exhibition curated by the State Library of Queensland. The exhibition takes visitors on an interactive journey from the First World War to today, ensuring a richer understanding of content from World War I, World War II and post-1945.
