The MIx Bar is a stunning, art deco style bar housed in the heritage-listed Woolloongabba Post Office.

The Mix Bar, Woolloongabba

Originally built in 1905, the historic post office has been beautifully restored to its former glory. The original floorboards have been polished, velvet drapes hang over the windows and a vintage print of The Gabba (which has hung in the post office for more than 30 years) features on one wall; while the elegant space is furnished with luxe leather lounges, dark timber tables and a grand piano.

Bar bites range from a trio of dips (feta and olive, garlic and hummus) to cheese and charcuterie boards piled with artisan cheese, sopressa, prosciutto, mixed antipasto and Italian green olives.

Libations include craft beer on tap, bottled beer, predominantly Australian wines, French champagne, and classic cocktails like Cosmopolitans, Espresso Martinis and Moscow Mules. Or try The Postmaster – white rum, triple sec, melon liqueur, blue curacao, fresh lime juice and lemonade.

Good to know - Outside, an alley has been transformed into a lively Laneway Bar featuring live entertainment and food trucks on weekends.
