The beautiful serene grounds of Chung Tian Temple will come to life when Queensland’s biggest birthday celebration returns with a vibrant program of over 100 events.

The much-loved, family friendly festival features cultural performances, a diverse multicultural parade, Chinese Lion Dances, traditional Hakka Pounded Tea, Tea Chan Ceremonies, drumming classes, and a one-stroke calligraphy display by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.

Highlights of the annual festival include the blessing of hundreds of babies, and two dazzling laser light shows on Saturday night, symbolising the Buddha’s enlightenment and the light within us all.

With more than 100 events, 3 dedicated dining areas, and over 1,000 enthusiastic volunteers supporting the event, festival-goers can explore Buddhism, enjoy delicious vegetarian and vegan delicacies, and engage in rich sensory experiences.

Good to know - The festival is an accredited climate-friendly event, promoting sustainability and well-being. The Fo Guang Shan Chung Tian is also an Australian accredited accessible tourism destination.
Need to know - Entry is free. There is limited free parking available at Chung Tian Temple. Visitors are encouraged to consider transport alternatives such as public transport, taxi or rideshare.
