Two Donkeys

Two Donkeys in Spring Hill is a local's favourite serving locally-roasted coffee along with delicious breakfast and lunch, nestled in leafy Astor Terrace.

Enjoy the relaxed vibe inside featuring industrial-style mood lighting, retro pressed metal chairs and shiny black tiles, or grab a bench outside and breathe in the fresh air.  

Breakfast, served from 6:30-11am, includes breaky faves from avo on sourdough with Danish feta and toasted macadamia, to Eggs Benny (poached eggs, baby spinach and hollandaise sauce on rye), and scrumptious omelettes filled with baby spinach, cheese,  mushrooms and tomato, or asparagus, smoked salmon and avocado. 

Lunch options, available from 11am, include classics like BLT and steak sandwiches, fish and chips, chicken parmys, grilled chicken and brie burgers and pulled beef tacos - house-made soft tortillas topped with chipotle pulled beef, sour cream, lettuce and corn salsa.

In addition, there are salads - Caesar and tandoori chicken, sweet potato and cashew nut - as well as Thai green chicken curry with lemongrass scented rice, and vegetarian Barn Yard stack - layers of tortilla, roasted capsicum, sweet potato, pumpkin, eggplant and zucchini. Otherwise, they offer fantastic value, delicious street style lunch deals from $9-$11, such as slow cooked beef brisket burgers, chicken and chorizo paella, and gourmet barbecue sausages. Just look for their pop-up stall and Chef out the front.

Coffee on pour is by Brisbane-based specialty coffee roaster Fonzie Abbott. ​Alternatively, there are Fonzie Abbott beers, as well as teas, iced drinks, milkshakes and bottled soft drinks and juices.

Nice to know - Two Donkeys encourage customers to bring their own keep cup, coffee mug or take one of their 'ugly mugs' off the wall. Walk away with one of their ugly mugs and return it on your next visit. When you bring it back, they'll wash it for you and you can grab another one. Two Donkeys also gratefully accepts coffee mug donations to continue their sustainability initiative, saving the planet one ugly mug at a time.
