Flat Cap Espresso
Banyo
Flat Cap Espresso is a simplistic coffee haven with a delicious menu, set in the industrial surrounds of Banyo.
The café is laden with al fresco dining, as well as a large communal table indoors and a takeaway counter for food and drink on the go. Spot the silhouette of the Head Chef around the café, in his signature flat cap.
The menu is laden with breakfast and lunch goodies, with the most popular being their variations of the classic bagel. Using The Bagel Boys, Flat Cap has created some unique fillings such as pulled pork and slaw, as well as their delicious beef cheek bagel.
The breakfast bagel is quite the hit with local diners, filled with bacon, egg, Swiss cheese, avocado, hash brown and a smoky tomato ketchup.
Flat Cap also makes classic favourites such as avocado on toast, with heirloom tomatoes.
The sweetcorn and halloumi fritters are another fantastic creation, served with bacon, poached egg and smoky tomato ketchup.
Coffee is certainly their forte. Their cold brew is a popular choice as diners can make their own coffee to suit them; it is served deconstructed. The Single O is another popular choice, for a quality, smooth blend with a caffeine kick.
Their standard coffee is just as delicious, with many kinds of milk on offer such as soy, almond, coconut and lactose-free.
Flat Cap Espresso also makes their own Single o soda – try out the mango and lychee flavour.
Need to know – Dogs are welcome in the outdoor area.
