After unveiling a major revitalisation in November, Ipswich’s Nicholas Street Precinct is bursting with incredible activities for the whole family these school holidays.

Queensland’s first General Public boasts 14 bowling alleys, golf simulators, 75+ arcade games, and a menu full of family favourites like burgers, pizzas, and retro milkshakes. For these school holidays you can score a game of bowling and a $25 arcade card for only $29.

Catch a blockbuster movie at the brand new HOYTS Ipswich in Nicholas Street Precinct. All six auditoriums are fitted with new standard lean back seats, allowing for plenty of leg room for superior comfort. Take your movie experience to the next level with HOYTS Daybeds, each with space for up to three people to lie back and enjoy the latest movie with uninterrupted views, or take a seat in their D-BOX Motion Recliners for the latest immersive movie experience with seats that move and vibrate in sync with the action on the big screen.

For the older kids, tuck into a bag of delicious seafood at Kickin’Inn which just opened on 3 December. A hands-first dining experience, you’ll be kitted out in an apron and gloves so you can tuck into a bag opf seafood paired with one of their five house-made sauces.

Not a seafood fan? Nicholas Street Precinct has something for everyone, including burritos from Zambreros, sushi rolls from Sushi Hyo, café treats from Stellarossa, dumplings from That Dumpling Place, and your favourite Vietnamese dishes from Bun Bun Bao. And a day to Nicholas Street Precinct isn’t complete without a visit to Gelatissimo.

Ipswich Children’s Library, located within the Nicholas Street Precinct, is Australia’s only public library dedicated to children. Boasting a huge program for the holidays, your kids can write letters to Santa, road-test a robot, or build something incredible with their amazing LEGO and DUPLO collections.

Families shouldn’t miss the iconic St Nicholas Precinct, from December 13 to 22.  This FREE event transforms the urban heart of Ipswich into an experiential atmosphere of lights, colour and magical moments. Gather your family and friends to experience this year’s spectacular lighting installation! Each night offers live entertainment, photo opportunities and market stalls to enjoy. There will also be a designated Low Sensory evening on Monday 16 December, for those seeking a gentler, quieter experience.

Need to know - Getting to St Nicholas Precinct is easy with 1000 undercover car parks onsite, with up to 3 hours free, and free on weekends.
