Stage School Australia

One of the country’s leading performing arts training institutes, Stage School Australia, is coming to Brisbane with classes on offer in Mt Gravatt, Jindalee, and The Gap, with more locations coming soon. 

For over 35 years, Stage School has advanced young people’s personal skills through training in the performing arts. The friendly and supportive classes develop kids’ natural abilities and foster a lifelong love of learning and creativity. 

Streams of training include Beginners OnStage - song, dance and acting for young children (5-7 years); the Australian Youth Theatre (AYT) - drama and public speaking; and the Young Australian Broadway Chorus (YABC) - musical theatre for 8-18 year olds. 

Song, dance and drama classes are taught by industry professionals all in the one location.  Participants will develop life skills like confidence, communication and teamwork. It's great value with all weekly classes, workshops and costumes included, plus participants will get to perform on stage twice a year.

It’s easy to get involved! Free, fun audition sessions are designed to offer prospective members and their parents/carers an introduction to Stage School, learn how classes run, and what you can look forward to when you join one of the programs. 

Stage School's aim is to best match the student’s interests, age and ability with one of the many classes on offer, to provide them with the ultimate experience.

Stage School’s productions have been seen on stages ranging from the Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne to the Lincoln Center, New York City, while the school's students have appeared in leading roles in some of the biggest shows in the country, including the leading roles in recent productions of Moulin Rouge the Musical, The Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, Muriel’s Wedding, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
