Brockhurst Farm offer dog-friendly accommodation in a scenic country farm retreat less than an hour from Brisbane and with superb views over the D’Aguilar ranges.

Part of a working farm that has cows, horses, sheep, goats and hens, the secluded rustic cabins are perched on ridges around the property and are a great option for family and friend get-togethers, Woodford Folk Festival-bound revellers, social groups and wedding and function accommodation.

The 3 cabins range in size from 1 to 2 and 4 bedrooms, and combined can sleep up to 22 guests. Otherwise the 1 bedder sleeps 4-6, the 2 bedder 5-7 and the 4-bedder 10-12 (all including a double sofa in the lounge). Each country style cabin features wood panelled walls, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, BBQ, covered patio with views and wood fire heater and is fully fenced for dogs (which are not allowed inside).

Not just a great place to breathe country air, take in the panoramic views and relax, guests and their (well-behaved) dogs have access to most of the property, including the freshwater dam (which comes with a floating raft ‘pontoon’ and boards and noodles to float on), the picnic table on the far hill (a must visit with a bottle of wine at sunset).

Fresh laid eggs are available to buy for a breakfast cook-up and a bonus is the ability to feed the horses who amble up in the afternoons for carrots (look in cabin’s fridge for a provided packet and BYO).

Need to know - For those with children who want to get right into the farming life Brockhurst Cabins also offer a Farmstay Package where children aged 3-14 years can take a lead horse ride, double on a quad bike and some hands-on morning farm activities like feeding animals. Brockhurst Cabins also have a dedicated wedding lawn and pavilion and can cater for bridal and wedding guests.
