Fat Angel Sports Bar & Grill

Brisbane Cbd

Updated: Oct 09, 2020

Fat Angel is an all-American sports bar and grill, serving American inspired eats and booze to sports fanatics in Eagle Lane, Brisbane CBD.

The sports bar is decked out with TV screens, showing everything from the NRL and NBA, to everything else on ESPN. There’s fluorescent booze signs around the bar, as well as sports memorabilia, flags and full-blown Yankee vibes.

The grill’s menu is full of the expected – burgers, hot dogs, slow-cooked meats and bar snacks. Fat Angel understands that nothing goes down better with a beer than a Louisville Slugger Hot Dog; a pork sausage with bacon, onion, cheese, mustard, tomato sauce on a sub loaf.

The classic cheeseburger is another top choice, packed with Angus beef, their house-made Angel sauce, cheddar cheese and mustard on a brioche bun.

Surprisingly, Fat Angel has a selection of salads, each with an American vibe and equally delicious. The citrus salad is recommended, which is a citrus mix tossed with spinach, walnuts, orange and blue cheese.

There’s a delicious cocktail list influenced by American flavours and spirits, such as the Fat Angels' Bloody Mary and the Shooter McGavin, which is made with Beefeater gin, fiorente elderflower, yellow chartreuse, agave, lemon and grapefruit.

Need to know – Check the Facebook page for what’s playing each day and night.

Nice to know – Fat Angel is the sister venue of Brooklyn Standard.
