Darling & Co bar is a chic contemporary open-sided bar with stunning atrium roof adjacent to Darling and Co restaurant in Paddington’s landmark Iceworks building.
Greenery features at Darling and Co, with hanging potted ferns adorning the bar's street front ceiling and mini pot plants on tables, while one of the function spaces Garden Room is a subtropical jungle.
The bar makes a great place to enjoy a drink, bite to eat or delicious meal in casual fashion, with an impressive range of boutique Australian and international wines available by the glass and bottle. A rotating selection of international and local craft beers are on tap, with an emphasis on Saison (seasonal French farmhouse ale), and plenty more, including some international, available by the glass or bottle.
As well as Classic Cocktails (Negroni, Mojito, Old-Fashioned, Espresso Martini and Aperol Spritz) and the Cocktail Pitchers (The Paddignton Pimms and The Garden Spritz) to share, Darling and Co's sifgnature range of cocktails are delcious and fresh fruit-based - try the 10 Days in Tahiti (Ketel One vodka, wtaermelon, coconut.lim and mint) or the lush Thailand Rockin' - Tanqueray Gin, rockmelon, orange and Thai basil.
And for something fresh and non-alcoholic, Darling and Co also does mixed pressed juices such as The Green - spinach, broccoli, celery, apple, lime and mint.
Feeling hungry? You can pop in to Darling and Co any time of day from opening till close for some great bar nosh, ranging from snacks such as Charred Chorizo, Croquettes, Hiramasa Kingfish Tacos or Panko Chicken Sliders; Salads such as Tuscan Kale, House Cured Ocean Trout; Pizza ( including Margherita, Forest Mushrooms and Pork and Fennel Sausage). Or tuck into something more substantial like The Darlihg Downs Wagyu Cheeseburger, Darling Club Sandwich, Battered Barramundi or House Linguine (with Moolloolaba Prawns, garlic, chilli and parsley).
And no need to move into the adjacent restaurant for those who fancy anything off the Darling and Co menu - this is the kind of place where you can order anything anywhere and anytime (except the a la carte restaurant menu is not available between 3pm and 5pm.)
Darling Co bar is not just a great local watering hole, but it has some spiffy function rooms, each with their own personality, from the subterranean Unforgiven to the Garden Room to the teal-coloured Swayze Room with its funky modernist furniture and quirky Bowerbird-inspired shelves of colourful knick-knack collections.
