Teddies’n’sweets

Redcliffe

A scene straight out of a British seaside village greets the person who enters this iconic teashop on the Redcliffe peninsula, which in 2021 moved from its original longtime home in the historic Comino Arcade.

From the customers gathered around the little round tables, sipping tea from china cups and buttering scones, to the shelves of goodies and teddy bears, here Britannia rules.

As well as being a fine spot to quaff a delicious Devonshire tea, Eccles cake, apple crumble, pork pie/Cornish pastie and salad or English hot breakfast it’s also the place to do a spot of British grocery shopping.

On the shelves can be found Pease pudding, fruit pastilles, nougat, HP sauce or Holmes mustard or look to the fridge for scotch eggs and pies, haggis cake and more Ol Blighty delicacies.
