Icing Hill is an artisan cake patisserie and cafe on the corner of Commercial Rd and Ann St in Fortitude Valley.

The café come bakery serves diners beautifully presented cakes and pastries, along with a bespoke brunch menu. The expansive, modern and pristine interior has a homely feel, featuring small and large tables.

Not only does Icing Hill operate as a café, but it also is a fully functioning cake patisserie, also making incredible cakes for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations.

If dining in, indulge in one of their cakes from the cabinet, with far more inventive creations than a simple vanilla or chocolate cake. Cakes on offer include their matcha and red bean slice cake and lemon meringue tart, along with the owner’s personal favourite - a rose and watermelon slice cake whihc is gluten free.

There is also a range of freshly baked sweet treats on the counter that are ideal for a snack on the go, such as croissants, Belgium waffles and chocolate chip muffins.

Their expansive brunch menu pleases diners with gourmet dishes such as overnight oats topped with berries and their Huevos Rancheros, featuring smoky beans, tomato, ham hock and gremolata on sourdough. An in-house favourite is the Couscous which can be described as a breakfast couscous that includes cauliflower couscous, zucchini, corn, mushroom, scrambled eggs and parsley.

Dining for two? Icing Hill has a ‘Breakfast for two of you’ special, featuring a board of scramble eggs, crispy bacon, mushroom, sausage, semi dry tomato, hash brown, spinach, haloumi and toasted sourdough.

On the drinks menu is a range of classic coffees and teas, which all are served with a side of biscotti. Iced drinks, smoothies and frappes are a specialty of Icing Hill, featuring drinks such as a Matcha Frappe and a Chocolate Oreo Smoothie.

The owner’s wife makes the spectacular occasion cakes in the Icing Hill café, with some of her creations available to view in store.
