Licketysplit Cafe
Jindalee
Licketysplit Cafe is a gorgeous, retro, mobile cafe van that can be found at the Jindalee Boat Ramp Park, overlooking the Brisbane River.
Whether you’re a visitor to the playground, enjoying a picnic and the bbq facilities, or heading out on the water, you can’t miss the pretty, hibiscus adorned van, serving up barista-made organic coffees, teas (including herbal teas), hot chocolates, mochas, Chai lattes, Turmeric Lattes and more.
If a cold drink is more your style, the selection includes frappes, iced favourites (latte, mocha and chocolate), cold pressed juices that you can mix and match to suit your tastebuds, plus a healthy range of iced fruit blends – Refresher (pineapple, apple, lime, mint), Summer Dream (mango, strawberry, banana, apple), Anti-Inflammatory (carrot, orange, turmeric, ginger) and Tropico (orange, pineapple, apple, banana, passionfruit, vanilla yoghurt).
If you’re feeling peckish, the compact mobile van offers a great menu, including Smoothie Bowls (Sunshine Dreaming, Classic Acai & Berry Heaven) and Fruit Salad Cups that allow you to choose up to 4 fruits from the selection available, and add a topping of either vanilla yoghurt, Greek yoghurt or whipped cream. If you’d like a bit of crunch and some texture, choose from toppers such as toasted muesli, pepitas, sunflower seeds, chocolate shavings and coconut chips.
The variety of sweet and savoury treats changes daily, with an assortment of delicious donuts, pastries, bagels and home-made slices on offer and just perfect to enjoy with a drink or on their own.
Owner, Lisa, has thought of everything, with picnic blankets available to borrow, along with some great lawn games to play whilst you’re visiting – quoits, noughts & crosses, tennis and badminton racquets and net are on offer, with plans to expand the range in the warmer months.
Weekdays, Licketysplit Cafe is up near the playground, and on weekends and public holidays, the coffee caravan is parked by the boat ramp.
For when nature calls, wheelchair and pram-friendly amenities are just at top of the rise, between the playground and the boat ramp car park.
Need to know – Dogs are welcome in the park but must be kept on-leash at all times, but you can let them run around in the dog park that is on the other side of the boat ramp car park. And speaking of your four-legged bestie, Lisa often has home-made, all-natural dog biscuits so they don't miss out on a special park treat.
Nice to know – Licketysplit Cafe offers catering options for private events.
