The Jam Pantry

Greenslopes

The Jam Pantry is a gem of a cafe offering delicious food with a focus on seasonal produce and funky preserves.

Breakfast dish revered with bread

All dishes, either from the main menu or rotating blackboard menu, feature something pickled or preserved.  Pantry classics include avo toast with pickled and fresh strawberries, goats' cheese and pistachio crumb, Nim's Eggs poached with streaky bacon, banana chutney, pesto, roasted roma tomatoes and toast and the cafe's signature dish -  The Whole Pantry with fried eggs, slow cooked lamb shoulder, oregano pea mash, grilled haloumi, peach relish, toasted Turkish bread and grilled lemon.

The Jam Pantry

Specials range from breakfast fare like french toast (drenched fruit bread, carrot cake jam, grilled pineapple and creme fraiche) and pancakes (lemon thyme batter with strawberry and apple jam, nutmeg creme and oat crumble) to lunch staples like soup, salad and sandwiches such as smoked salmon with red onion, shaved fennel and mustard cream.

The Jam Pantry Greenslopes

Supreme coffee is on pour and goes down a treat with the Jam Pantry's homemade sweets:  banoffee tarts, iced vovos and hello dollies (chocolate, peanut butter and caramel ).  T2 tea, freshly squeezed juices, sparkling fruit sodas, smoothies and milkshakes made with house-made syrups (brown sugar caramel, chocolate fudge and strawberry jam) round out the drinks menu.

The menu may have changed since our last visit.
