Euro Cafe

Woolloongabba

This rustic little Greek cafe dishing up hearty soul food is the anti-thesis to the busy commercial Logan Rd on which it stands.

The interior may be a simple white-washed brick affair but it’s given lashings of warmth by the friendly hospitable staff and the delicious aromas of home-cooking.

From the extensive breakfast menu, recommended is the charred asparagus, grilled haloumi with poached eggs and lemon butter sauce on char grilled Turkish toast.

Lunch-wise chicken souvlakia platters, yiros with haloumi and spanakopita hit the spot as do the baked dishes such as moussaka or cannelloni from the bain-marie, ideally finished with a Greek coffee and home-baked shortbread or Turkish delight.

Best of all, every dish, including the roast of the day comes in at under $11.
