Vaiola
Tarragindi
Vaiola is a fabulous new cafe in tree-lined Tarragindi, offering delicious brunch, lunch and dinner fare.
A sibling for neighbouring cafe, Umu Kitchen, Vaiola is nestled in the new luxury retirement community, The Green Tarragindi.
Overlooking the bowling greens on one side and a community garden and playground on the other, Vaiola welcomes all - offering a friendly neighbourhood space where patrons can enjoy excellent coffee supplied by Parallel Roasters, along with delicious meals, and a cheeky glass of wine or beer.
Breakfast dishes include favourites like bacon and eggs (cooked your way), eggs benedict (with bacon or smoked salmon), smashed avocado on sourdough, and homemade buttermilk pikelets served with lemon curd, mini meringues, seasonal fruit, vanilla creme and coco ice.
Alternatively, there's Fun-gi (garlic mushrooms, fresh greens, kumara mash and kale chips), Thai Prawn Omelette (grilled tiger prawns, chilli and papaya salad, kewpie and pickled ginger), and the Big Breakfast of pulled spit roast pig, eggs, chipolatas, baked beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms and thick cut toast.
Lunch-style offerings include melted sandwiches filled with turkey, cranberry and brie, ham and cheddar or smoked salmon, avocado, cucumber and capers, soft tortillas topped with spit roast pig, slaw and apple jam, and Samoan palusami pasties - a golden puff pastry filled with roast pumpkin, taro leaves, coconut cream and onion, served with Miti (a fresh coconut and tomato salsa salad).
