Home Cafe

Ashgrove

Updated: Oct 21, 2020

There's no place like Home, at least in Ashgrove. Cut off from the main island of grocery multinationals, this is one cafe worth crossing the busy street for.

Inside the owners have managed to create an oasis of Scandinavian calm with blonde wood tables and stools and white wicker chairs while out back is a dedicated kids play room.

The food is nothing short of delicious - for breakfast try the Brekkie burger, corn and zucchini fritters or Breakfast Nachos or for something different - Tsai Dor See (Hong Kong style french toast with peanut butter filling).

And for lunch there's a Vegan special, Americana burger, club or rib fillet steak sandwich or chilli ginger squid.

In keeping with the child-friendly theme, there's also a special kids breakfast and lunch menu, with the latter including a Home Lunch Box (sandwich, fresh fruit, sweet treat and milk shake or juice) for under $10.

Need to know - Home Cafe is also dog friendly.
