Cormorant Bay Cafe serves up great coffee, first-rate food with a side of magical water views. Whether it's a blue sky kind of day or a rainy, misty day, the view from the Cormorant Bay Cafe in Fernvale is nothing short of stunning. 

Nestled on the banks of Wivenhoe Dam, the cafe has become a favourite with day trippers, travellers and those looking for a special spot to escape to. Wide verandahs offer up a scenic front row view of the picturesque dam, whether it's sparkling in sunshine or shrouded in mist. A cosy indoors dining area boasts a fireplace which offers welcome warmth on cold winter days. 

A farm to fork philosophy sees local produce being highlighted in both breakfast and lunch menus and all meals are prepared and made in house.  Gluten free, vegan, dairy free and vegetarian options are available. Breakfast choices include dishes like Eggs Benny with Smoked Salmon or the hunger busting Dam Buster big breakfast. 

Lunch offerings are impressive, with daily specials written on the glass doors leading onto the verandah. Visitors may find items like Loaded Nachos (beef and vegetarian), Seared Salmon with herbed butter, baby potatoes and salad, Pumpkin Risotto with grilled haloumi and maple roasted pumpkin or Mussels in Garlic and White Wine Sauce. Light meals include Thai Fish Cakes with an Asian Inspired Salad, Cheesy Pesto Pizza or gourmet sandwiches.

The mains menu offers curries, pasta, gourmet burgers, Creamy Garlic Prawns, Tempura Calamari and much more. There's plenty of choice when it comes to sweets which include temptations such as chocolate waffles with cream, ice cream and chocolate fudge sauce.  For those looking for something to accompany a coffee, a delicious range of cakes, muffins, slices and scones awaits. 

Teas, coffee, juices, spiders, milkshakes (malt optional), iced coffee, iced chocolate and cold drinks from the Angostura, Riverina and Bundaberg ranges are all on the drinks menu, providing plenty of choice to quench thirsts. Cormorant Bay Cafe is BYO, with corkage charged per person.
