Canter & Colt

Samford

Perched on the porch of Four Seasons organic grocery store, Canter & Colt is Samford’s first 100% organic cafe.

Located on Main Street overlooking John Scott Park, timber benches, bright green stools, chairs and tables fill the tiny verandah. The excellent, organic coffee is roasted locally by Montville Coffee; while cold pressed juices, superfood smoothies and C&C’s special herbal teas – The Tender Loving Colt, Lemony Goodness and The Hip Berry - round out the drinks menu.

Popular breakfast items include acai bowls (Amazonia acai, house made granola, chia seeds and seasonal fruit), Samford deluxe muesli (raw muesli with passionfruit yoghurt, strawberries, banana, kiwi, shredded coconut, chia seeds and cinnamon served with agave syrup) and the C&C Smash (smashed avocado on sourdough with Barambah marinated feta, tomato and sunflower sprouts served with a wedge of lemon).

Lunch options range from sandwiches made fresh with organic veggies, deep sea tuna, organic turkey ham or Byron Bay sauerkraut and salads with chickpeas and rocket or quinoa to homemade soups like potato and leek or Polish borscht served with sourdough by Brisbane’s Sol Breads.

Sweet tooths will be sated with C&C’s selection of gluten-free and raw treats or try Co Yo coconut milk ice-cream made locally on the Sunshine Coast.

Nice to know - Afterwards, take a stroll inside Four Seasons and pick up some organic goodies to take home to create your own delicious, nutritious nosh.
