BAM ESPRESSO HAS CLOSED ITS DOORS PERMANENTLY AS OF 2014

Bam Espresso is a cool cafe with a conscience. Tucked away down a quiet street in Fortitude Valley, Bam aims to change the world one espresso at a time.

Serving well-brewed Di Bella coffee (made on an espresso machine donated by Di Bella), the profits from each cup of coffee go towards helping the homeless in Brisbane. Three international charities chosen by owner Michael Stafford (Bam It Back Foundation) also benefit, including one that rescues children from sexual exploitation, Destiny Rescue.

Deceivingly small from the outside, inside the cafe offers patrons several spaces to sit. There's 'The Cave', a cosy dimly-lit space with comfy armchairs and wooden pallets piled with pillows made from stuffed coffee sacks. Sunlight fills another area furnished with wrought iron chairs and a communal table built from pallets. Feel free to leave a positive message on the public scratch bench with Sharpies provided. Here you'll also find a fabulous feather chandelier and amazing wall mural. If you prefer, you can enjoy your cuppa in the outdoor courtyard.

While there is no menu, Bam is working on getting a regular supply of sweet treats and muffins to munch on.
