Woodman's Axe Espresso fills the void left by Grindhouse Specialty Coffee, taking up residence in Stoneham Lane (behind Stones Corner Hotel), serving top-notch coffee.
With two popular espresso bars in Mackay, owners Steve and Merryn Ward have branched out to Brisbane to open their third Woodman's Axe - a bolt-hole café with beautiful timber bench tops and fetching floral wallpaper.
Their seasonal house blend is roasted by Melbourne's Axil Coffee Roasters, while Woodman's will also feature rotating single origins. Besides espresso, the café offers Tea Drop tea, Prana chai, Mork hot chocolate and a selection of organic soft drinks and juices.
