Nowhere Espresso

Toowong

Updated: Jan 07, 2021

Nowhere Espresso is a tiny colourful coffee nook annexed to a quaint historical row of shops in the depths of suburban Toowong.

With its diminutive size and storybook charm you half expect to find a badger or rabbit manning the counter behind the little red door but instead there's a cheerful barista who whips up great organic Mambo coffees and a counter of sweet and savoury treats.

The sweets selection includes dainty red velvet cupcakes and tartlets from Luscious Cupcakes, shortbread cookies from Bite my Biscuit, gluten free macarons and soon to be joining the fray- quince lavender and lemon muffins.

There's also a small choice of savoury items – summer salads, sandwiches and wraps. (Bear in mind that as there's no on site kitchen when things run out they are not replaced).

Seating is all outside in the little courtyard shaded by bright patterned beach umbrellas and there's a dog bowl for four-legged coffee companions.

Need to know: Nowhere Espresso has free wi-fi and owner Denise also runs the browse-worthy bohemian homewares and fashion boutique Shop 51 next door.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
