Pennisi Cuisine

Woolloongabba

Pennisi Cuisine, housed inside a giant warehouse on a commercial strip in Woollloongabba, is stacked with the widest range of Continental, South American and Middle Eastern products under one tin roof in Brisbane.

Past the paella pans and cheese wheels guarding the entrance are aisles of Spanish, Greek, Balkan, Russian, Polish, Czech, South American, Kosher, Middle Eastern canned and dried delicacies and staples as well as kitchen supplies such as earthenware and cast iron rice cookers, (the secret to evenly cooked non-gluggy rice).

Pennisi Cuisine

The deli counter, a delight to behold is full of luscious olives, peppers and fresh antipasto and worth raiding as is the bread cabinet for locally made Italian loaves, not to mention the cheese fridge. Alongside the uncommon plaited cheese and hunks of French chevre are the Italian staples Romano and Parmesan of better quality and at half the price generally found in supermarkets.
