Watany Manoushi Lebanese Foods

Upper Mt Gravatt

Updated: Jan 10, 2021

Watany Manoushi Lebanese Foods, found tucked away in Palmdale Shopping Centre on Logan Road (opposite Westfield Mt Gravatt), is an authentic Middle Eastern bakery, cafe and grocery store.

Watany Manoushi

Watany (which means 'my country' in Arabic) serves traditional Lebanese fare from falafels and fatayer to manoushi - freshly baked flat bread with tasty toppings baked in a wood-fired oven.

Try the traditional zaatar manoushi (a mixture of thyme, sesame seed, sumac and olive oil),  Zaatar Special with zaatar, feta, mozzarella, tomato and olives or Kishik (dried yoghurt, capsicum, onion, walnut and sesame seed).

Equally delicious is fatayer, a savoury pastry filled with your choice of spinach and sumac, sujuk (spicy Middle Eastern sausage), lamb mince, haloumi or labni (thick yoghurt) with cucumber and fresh mint optional.

Watany carries an assortment of Arabic sweets like baklava, maamoul and maakaron.  Enjoy a traditional treat with a cappucino, latte, Lebanese coffee or pot of tea in the al fresco dining area or take some home for later.
