Quysine Bar & Restaurant
Cleveland
Quysine Bar & Restaurant is a charming and quaint tapas bar and restaurant in a line-up of bars & eateries on the edge of Cleveland’s town centre.
Punters can take a seat on the covered verandah (a good sunset spot) or al fresco courtyard or inside where white brick arches, tiled floors, a dimlit bar with vine clad roof give Quysine something of a Mediterranean ambience to complement the food.
On the menu is a cracking list of excellent tapas to share, including Smoked Pork Croquettes, Patatas Bravas, Portuguese Peri Peri Chicken Livers, Salt and Pepper Calamari and the highly recommended Crispy Arancini Balls and Crispy Pork Belly. For a special treat there’s also a Half or Full Rack of BBQ Pork Spare Ribs.
As well as the tapas, a small selection of Mains includes Roasted Pumpkin and Haloumi Salad, Pasta of the Day, Premium Porterhouse or Angus Eye Fillet, or the must try Chicken Supreme (chicken breast stuffed with semi-dried tomato and feta and wrapped in prosciutto, served with mustard mash, sautéed greens and balsamic glaze).
Meanwhile Daily Lunch Specials include Texas Pulled Pork Sandwich, Fish and Chips or a Beef Burger and a small Kids menu offers Calamari, Chicken Nuggets or Beer Battered Fish.
And for Dessert, diners can choose from Sticky Date Pudding with butterscotch ice-cream and Cointreau sauce, Citrus tart, Sorbet or Baileys and Espresso Cheesecake.
Drinks-wise, there’s a good selection of beers, including Corona, Crown Lager, Peroni Leggera, 4 Pines Kolsch, James Squire 150 Pale Ale and patrons can opt for a ‘Happy Bucket’ deal, designed for groups, of either 4 Beers, 4 Beers and 2 Soft Drinks or 4 Beers and a Red or White Wine.
There’s also Sommersby Pear and Apple Cider, spirits, liqueurs and a handful of cocktails: Mojito, Margarita, Espresso Martini or Midori Illusion. And non-alcoholic drinks include tea (pots for 1 or 2), coffee and soft drinks.
