Twelve Boar in Cleveland is Brisbane's answer to authentic American smoked BBQ; from mouth-watering slow-smoked baby back ribs to pulled pork and brisket burgers, with all meats smoked in-house.
Located in the bayside suburb of Cleveland, this all-American BBQ joint is open daily for lunch and dinner. Favourites include traditional buffalo chicken wings - you choose the heat level: medium, hot or stupid hot), classic burgers and hot seller Buffalo Boar'n'Beef burger. Another must try are the baby back pork and beef ribs coated in house-made spice rub, slow smoked for six hours, chargrilled with their secret mop sauce and basted in bbq sauce over heat til it caramelises on the meat. Popular too are BBQ chicken wings, for those who like a sweeter option.
Another classic to try is an American hot dog served with tomato sauce and mustard or topped with chilli. Or for something new and different, try one of American owner Rick's mouth-watering peanut butter and jelly ribs, inspired by one of America's greatest BBQ pit masters (The BBQ Pit Boys) and available for a limited time only.
Sides include skin-on chips, sweet potato fries and beer battered onion rings - the best in Brisbane; while a must try snack is buffalo fries - hot chips topped with slow-smoked pulled pork and special house-made buffalo sauce.
A kid's menu consists of pulled pork and beef brisket sliders with slaw and tangy red sauce or bbq sauce and chicken nuggets.
Drinks wise, there's American iced tea, local and craft beer and a range of imports including American beers or BYO wine.
