BENDER'S BAR HAS CLOSED IN MARCH 2021.
Bender's Bar is a bonafide burger joint and neighbourhood pub perched on the corner of Boundary and Edmondstone Streets in South Brisbane.
A casual sibling for Billykart, which sits across the road, Bender's provides relaxed dining inside a cosy space filled with tables including large leather booths, and al fresco with tables and chairs spilling out onto the footpath.
The menu is short and sweet, dedicated to burgers, with something for everyone: classic cheeseburger, Aussie burger (100% Australian beef patty topped with bacon, fried egg and beetroot), crispy fried chicken and bacon burger, and crumbed flathead fish burger with preserved lemon and dill mayo.
There's even a vego offering with Bender's vegan sando - green harissa-spiced cauliflower steak with nut aoli on a wholemeal bun.
Tasty sides range from Bender's spiced fries smothered in cheese sauce and bacon jam, to beer battered onion rings, and spicy hot wings.
Drinks wise, there's craft beer on tap and in tins, a concise wine list, spirits and cocktails.
Nice to know - Bender's is set to become one of South Brisbane's favourite watering holes, hosting trivia nights, live music, DJs, and live sporting events coverage.
