A Salt And Battery

St Lucia

Updated: May 16, 2024

One of St Lucia’s best loved places to imbibe ocean catch, this quirkily named fish and chip shop is located smack in the middle of student hangout ‘The Vill’(village).

Here, in walking distance of the Uni lie a string of cheap colourful multicultural eateries, many with wide terraces and tables to accommodate large groups.

And in this vein A Salt and Battery takes the honours – with huge long reception like tables that also take over the bottle-o next door. But despite the captive student audience this is seriously good fish and chips. Perhaps the best value is the plate for one – a sizable serve of cod plus their renowned chips and a salad of choice starting from $15.50.
