Tocco Italiano is serving bona fide Italian dishes and offering the finest European service to diners, bringing a piece of the Amalfi Coast in Italy to Brisbane’s suburb of Teneriffe.
The large Italian trattoria nestled on Florence Street, is the ideal space to host your next dinner party, or even an intimate date for two. The modern industrial style restaurant evokes elegance with rustic elements such as raw wood and funky European furniture. Photos of the owner, Arturo’s home town on the Amalfi Coast adorn the walls to remind diners of where their dishes inspiration comes from.
Tocco Italiano has a menu almost as big as the restaurant, with lunch and dinner options available. For lunch, choose from antipasto dishes, pizza, bianche, primi classici, primi, secondi and even a bambini menu for the little ones. It is recommended you try an entrée, main and dessert to ensure you are able to try a variety of their divine dishes. Start with the Burrata Pugliese, which is almost too pretty to eat. Served with snow peas, green beans, 25yrs aged balsamic vinegar and focaccia.
Their Ravioli Caprese is another must-do; soft al dente ravioli filled with buffalo ricotta, served with marinated eggplant and parsley emulsion.
Unless, you find it too difficult to look past the pizza menu – there’s nothing better than their classic wood-fired selection, and we happen to agree.
You can’t leave an Italian without looking at the dessert menu. If you struggle to make decisions, try Tocca Italiano’s Tutto Cioccolato, which is a mixed selection of chocolate textures and colours, meaning you get to try a little bit of everything.
Tocco Italiano has an extensive wine list, European beers on tap, spirits, coffee, tea and juice – something for every occasion.
