Genkotsu Ramen

Upper Mt Gravatt

GENKOTSU RAMEN HAS BEEN REPLACED BY NONBEI SAKE BAR & BBQ.

Genkotsu Ramen brings a taste of Tokyo to Brisbane’s southside, dishing up bowls of traditional tonkotsu soup (ramen) from their small shop in Upper Mt Gravatt.

Located in The Village Shopping Centre on Logan Road, this little ramen joint is a sibling for Genkotsu Ramen in Toowong and Runcorn. Here diners can sit at the bar counter or communal tables slurping big bowls of noodle soup.

Original ramen ranges from shio (lightly salted) and shoyu (soy) to miso, gyokai (fish) and karamen (spicy). The broth is slow-cooked for 12 hours and topped with noodles, marinated boiled egg, bamboo shoots, shallots and slices of pork belly.

Customers can customise their ramen with additional toppings such as seaweed, soft shell crab, tantan men (minced pork) or karaage to name a few.
