Mama Malaya
Underwood
Mama Malaya is a great little budget eatery in Underwood dishing up authentic hawker-style Malaysian fare.
This modest restaurant on Logan Road provides half a dozen tables with chairs for dining inside, as well as take-away.

The mouth-watering menu boasts a range of Malaysian cuisine featuring a wonderful mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavours, ranging from seafood and beef, to chicken and pork, plus vegetarian.

Popular options include satay skewers and spicy squid (kam heong sotong), prawn sambal and kung pao chicken, roti canai and Indonesian-inspired gado gado.

Stand-outs on the menu though are delicious noodle dishes like mee goreng and Malaysia's national favourite - char kway teow (stir-fried noodles with prawns, eggs and bean sprouts in soy sauce) - as well as nasi lemak and laksa.
Drinks wise, there's Malaysian-style milk tea, iced coffee, iced lemon tea, coconut juice, and soft drinks.
