Motorwagen

Brisbane CBD

MOTORWAGEN HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Motorwagen is a stunning contemporary cafe, restaurant and bar found in Brisbane’s CBD, offering a refined dining experience for breakfast and lunch.

The sophisticated city eatery features a striking, industrial chic fit-out – think exposed brick and concrete. Customers can dine al fresco on the terrace overlooking Adelaide Street or in the stylish dining room featuring burnt orange banquette seating.

Motorwagen Restaurant, Brisbane

Motorwagen's new seasonal menu boasts sumptuous starters such as pan-fried scallops with pea puree and crisp chorizo, soy ginger braised pork belly with Asian greens, confit duck and kipfler terrine, and warm pumpkin salad with quinoa, almond and coconut cream.

Motorwagen Classics are still on the menu including beer battered fish and chips, Wagyu beef burger, southern fried chicken burger, Angus sirloin steak sandwich, and Motorwagen pizza loaded with chicken, chorizo, salami, ham and BBQ sauce.

Meanwhile, mouth-watering new Mains range from Riverina Angus sirloin and free-range chicken breast, to pan-fried market fish and seafood linguine, plus a vegan option of roasted field mushrooms with rocket pesto, mushroom ketchup and cauliflower soy cashew cream.

And for dessert, there's roasted pineapple with coconut mousse, rhubarb and passionfruit, or chocolate tarte with ganache, chocolate gel and fresh berries.

Breakfast fare on offer is simple and well executed - think avocado on rye, egg and bacon breaky burger, and bacon and eggs on sourdough - served along with Motorwagen granola with whipped coconut yoghurt or Eggs Benzy (poached eggs on sourdough with brown butter hollandaise and your choice of bacon or gin-cured salmon).

Motorwagen Restaurant, Brisbane

Boasting Brisbane’s first state-of-the-art Modbar espresso and pour-over system by La Marzocco, Motorwagen offers locally roasted Wolff Coffee. Otherwise, there are specialty lattes, organic loose leaf teas, classic fruit juices and kombucha.

In addition, Motorwagen is fully-licensed with local craft beer on tap, a carefully curated wine list, and classic cocktails.

Good to know – A private dining room is available for functions and private events with vintage-inspired Mercedes-Benz murals painted by a local artist.
