September 18 Vegan & Vegetarian is a Malaysian-inspired restaurant in North Lakes which stands out from the crowd.
There is plenty of silken tofu, mushrooms and satay sauce, as the specialty here is clean, healthy food which is good for the planet.
Some of their South-East Asian-fusion mains include vegie ball laksa (pictured), nasi lemak, roti channai (pictured), gado gado, or mock satay chicken. Many of the meals are gluten free and there are also dumplings, spring rolls and deep fried mushrooms for entree.
The exotic drinks are highly recommended, especially the lychee drink, ginger tea and fresh pressed juices. Ask about the Malaysian Herbal Hotpot (Bak Kut Teh), which is the perfect health elixir, especially during the cooler months.

Need to know - September 18 is located behind McDonalds on the corner of Discovery Drive and Anzac Avenue, and there is a carpark beneath the restaurant.
