Come here for the unique and delectable food, served as if you were a house guest, the curated selection of wines or the excellent coffee from Northgate's Passport Specialty Coffee, but be sure to vist as Cafe Disco is one of Brisbane's hidden gems.

Located in an historic West End shop, the cosy and inviting space features retro style cafe curtains, gingham-checked window seats and tables and chairs lit with small golden lamps.

Dishes of food at Cafe Disco

The concise menu (subject to change), which is derived from the savvy owner's mother and grandmother's recipes, is all designed to share and unlike anything else you'll find in Brisbane, a blend of Persian and Indian flavours with a creative twist.

Pita bread & Garlic at Cafe Disco

This is one place where you can order everything off the menu and there you have the perfect feast, starting with Maia Mick's Nuts (sourced locally and served warm with house seasoning); house-baked rye pita with confit garlic, and corn bread with smoked salt and chive butter.

Fish rillette and chips at Cafe Disco

Must-try is the fish rillette, a dish that is ubiquitous in Bangladeshi restaurants, and here it is playfully served with a bag of deli crisps, a perfect accompaniment; as is the melon and cucumber rojak, presented as a mosaic of cubes.

Other dishes include ghee roast potato chat (charred and fine-roasted); eggplant, peppers & toaton (fire-roasted and charred); caraway carrots (butter-braised & fire-roasted, with whipped feta & herbs) and melt-in-the-mouth lamb kofta (with creamy garlic yoghurt and mint chutney. And for dessert there's chai creme caramel (with dollop of hazelnut marscapone).
